Depending on the position for which you’re applying, you will likely need to pass the following pre-employment assessment tests.
PowerSchool Aptitude Test - the CCAT
The test used in the PowerSchool hiring process is known as the Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT). This CCAT assessment is a popular pre-employment test that measures your problem-solving abilities, skill learning capabilities, and critical-thinking skills.
The test is comprised of 50 questions covering math, verbal, spatial reasoning, and logic questions, and it has a 15-minute time limit.

PowerSchool Personality Test
PowerSchool uses a personality test as part of its assessments. Personality tests are used to measure your personal and professional compatibility to the company and position for which you are applying. Furthermore, personality tests assess your approach to work scenarios, stress management, colleagues and teamwork, and the job position.

PowerSchool Hiring Process
The lengthy PowerSchool hiring and recruitment process consists of the following steps:
Online Application
The PowerSchool hiring process begins with an online application that is screened by the Hirebridge applicant tracking system (ATS). This applicant tracking system assesses your answers and documents for keyword-specific phrases.
Assessment Tests
Once your application is complete, you will encounter pre-employment assessment tests (outlined above). Be sure to review and prepare for these tests as passing/failing scores can be the difference in moving forward with a job offer or not.
Interview Process
You will encounter a variety of interviews during the PowerSchool recruitment process, some of which may include telephone, video, in-person, or panel interviews. Additionally, be sure to review and practice for all types of interviews with our Interview PrepPack™.
