Cvent Aptitude Test: Overview, Sample Questions & Prep Tips

What Is the Cvent Aptitude Test?

The Cvent Aptitude Test is a crucial step in the Cvent recruitment process. Although the tests used by Cvent change depending on the position in question, one of the main ones that are used is the Criteria Cognitive Assessment (CCAT) alongside a personality test.

In the CCAT tests, you will be presented with 50 questions that need to be answered in a 15-minute time limit, leaving you with 18 seconds per question. These questions will examine your numerical, verbal, and abstract reasoning abilities.

Watch this short video for a quick overview of the CCAT:

Cvent Assessment Test Practice Question (CCAT)

Cvent aptitude test practice
Knot is kept in room 1
Jinan is kept in room 2
Mushu is kept in room 2
Osami is kept in room 3
Lee is kept in room 3
Correct Answer
Incorrect Answer

The correct answer is (A) - Knot is kept in room 1.

If one of the answer choices must be true, we should be able to deduce it on the basis of the information we already have. The first thing to notice is that we know the exact position of N – room 3. The other conditions provide us with some information, but not enough to place any of the other bears in a specific room. Therefore we should look at what we know about the new bear: O can be either in room 2 or 3. Let's check both options:

If O is in room 2:

The second bear in that room can be either M or J, since one of them has to be in room 2 (fourth condition). Now that room 2 is full, we can turn to the other two. According to the second condition, K is left to L. Since neither is in room 2, it follows that K is in room 1, and L is in room 3 (together with N). The remaining spot in room 1 is taken by M/J:

2

3

K

J/M

O

M/J

  L

 N

If O is in room 3:

Room 3 is now full. In order for K to be to the left of L (second condition), L must be in room 2, and K – in room 1. M and J are placed the same as before.

3

M/J

  O

 N

In both cases, K is in room 1, as is stated in answer choice (A).

Cvent Hiring Process

The Cvent hiring process begins with a Hirebridge applicant tracking system (ATS). Hirebridge is used to screen your application/questionnaire, resume, and CV. This applicant tracking system assesses your application/questionnaire answers and documents for keyword-specific phrases.

Therefore, to ensure your application successfully moves forward in the hiring process, you must make certain your answers and documents properly align with the job description.

Once your application is complete, you will encounter pre-employment assessment tests. Depending on the job position, you may encounter the Criteria Cognitive Assessment, a personality test, and job-specific technical assessments.

Once you pass the assessments, you will start the interview process. Cvent utilizes multiple telephone interviews and in-person interviews to ensure it is hiring the most qualified candidates.

Cvent Interview Questions

Cvent's interview questions are divided into behavioral questions and technical or job-specific questions.

Behavioral interview questions might include the following examples:

And technical or job-specific questions might include:

  • What do you see as the top benefits of moving to a cloud-based computing platform?
  • What do you feel is one of the top issues that are faced by data engineers today?
  • What SDLC models are you familiar with?
  • What software analysis and design tools do you have familiarity working with?

Cvent Personality Test

Used as part of the hiring process, Cvent’s personality test is a brief assessment that measures your compatibility with the company and the position for which you are applying. Additionally, it assesses your approach to work scenarios and colleagues.

It’s important to note that this test may be proctored to ensure that your answers are truly your own and genuine. This being said, be sure to answer every question honestly, but strategically. Highlight your strengths and work-positive characteristics.
